Notes: This "Ma Tou Yan Old Tree Rou Gui" originates from a separate area adjacent to the UNESCO World Heritage site of Wuyi Shan. Cultivated in a private area with optimal growing conditions, this tea is harvested from 30-year-old Rou Gui shrubs, considered "old trees" in this context. The traditional charcoal roasting process is applied three times, enhancing its potential for aging and resulting in a limited annual production of a few kilograms.
Tasting Notes: Exhibiting strong cinnamon characteristics typical of Rou Gui, this tea also presents a tangy spiciness in the opening infusions. The leaves boast a dark cocoa hue, promising a rich and flavorful brew. As it ages, the tea mellows, becoming increasingly exquisite and sought after.
