Varietal: Shui Xian
Region: Wuyi Mountains, Fujian Province, China
Notes: Shui Xian, one of the three major rock teas from the Wuyi Mountains, derives its name from "water sprite" due to its kanji. However, the true story behind it is more intricate. The "Gao Cong" in this tea's name denotes the age of the bushes, ranging between 30 and 50 years old. Older trees with well-established root systems are prized for their ability to absorb nutrients and minerals effectively, contributing to the tea's exquisite flavor.
Tasting Notes: Our Gao Cong Shui Xian undergoes meticulous hand roasting to unlock its full potential. The result is a vibrant jade tea leaf exuding a luxurious floral aroma upon contact with boiling water. Upon tasting, savor the full sensory experience by inhaling the enchanting aromas lingering within the cup.
Brewing: Use Gaiwan, porcelain pot, or Yixing pot (120ml) with 8.3g tea. Boil pure or mountain spring water. Follow our traditional brewing instructions for optimal results.
