I made these puerh knives using wood that was found at a 200 year old house.  A friend of ours had no choice but to tear down their family home and offere dfor us to salvage as much as we could. The handles of these knives from from 2 pieces of wood that were the original hard wood pieces that were used as sort of standard measurements for that house... a reference point for the builders to use
The blade comes from hunting spear points that were likely used for smal game hunting.
I was surprised to hear they might be over 100 if not 200 years old but the scale of things is different over here!
It functions very well as a puerh knife and does well even with tough cakes.
