A gorgeous precuroser to what would eventually have become an inkstone. This stone is one of those things that when you hold it and look at it up close you strat to notice all of the beautiful color and subtle details, especially when it has gotten wet. It can be used as a place to put your teapot or gaiwan while making tea or, i often use them to rest my kettle on!
